Switzerland was exactly the medicine I needed.
Seeing all my friends again was fantastic. Staying with Philipp did me good. Today I hung out with my friend Michel, we went together to see my friend Pascal who is in hospital at the moment, I saw my host mum Christiane and I saw my old Rotary counselor and his wife. I finished both Stanford and Berkeley applications. Slowly getting things together and am feeling MUCH happier. Yay for escaping 'home'

quote of the week
To set the scene - Jakob and I are walking home, we walk past a poster advertising a satirical play. The picture is of a man hanging himself but with scissors held to the noose and a gun held to his head.
Jakob: BETH BETH!!! That's a picture of Adolf Hitler!!!
(Did I mention that this kid only has one tone: VERY loud)
Beth: Shhhh!!! That's not Adolf Hitler Jakob
Jakob: Sure it is!
Beth: jakob why do you think it is Hitler?
Jakob: He's shooting himself in the head. Hitler shot himself in the head too right? That is how the war ended.
...kids!...better yet - kids in war scarred Berlin!

Firstly - a HUGE thanks to all of you who have been there for me in the past few weeks - I couldn't have done any of this without your support and love.
The GREs were not the best in the world- 4 hours of staring at the screen with my eye just about sent me crazy.. nonetheless, I have rescheduled and am resitting them on the 6th of December.
My Uni exams were really hard and I had so much going on in my life that I hardly had time to study which disappoints me a little. I don't think I am going to have a problem passing though.
I have escaped as of yesterday to Switzerland - back to where my 'family' and friends are - Most of you know what I am escaping and it has been a very hard decision and an extremely hard weekend. Being here is doing me a lot of good though. Already I am feeling calmer and have just been able to rest, which is so important.
